War in GAZA
How are the Republican candidates going to handle the War in Gaza?
Already there are clips and quotes from both Haley and Vivek that take shots at one another.
Haley says, "half of Gaza residents want to be free from Hamas ‘terrorist rule."
Haley - NY Post
Vivek says, "If it can happen in Israel, it can happen in America"
Vivek - Business Today
Why do candidates go after one another on matters like this? This could have been a chance for everyone to come together and be unified, but instead they use it to benefit themselves and put down their opponent.
Let's talk about it.
As far as I'm aware, and please correct me if I'm wrong, Mr. Ramaswamy has never held political office and has no experience in foreign relations or foreign policy matters. Ms. Haley however, in addition for serving as Governor of South Carolina, was the US Ambassador to the United Nations and became quite well known for her position on Israel. Ms. Haley has first-hand knowledge of the region and the people to speak out on this topic. Perhaps my perception of Mr. Ramaswamy is a big negative, he seems to be doom and gloom and yet he tries to convince us he is our new savior. I'm not buying it. Since the Israel-Hamas War is so contentious, maybe they would best be served to concentrate on issues at home such as why our House of Representatives can't get it together and vote in a new Speaker. I would love to see all of our candidates come together and address that!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great point to bring up! It really shows how stupid we can be as a nation. Their are innocent children dying but instead of coming together candidates want to use this tragic war as ways to push their political agenda. It seems to me Ramaswamy is using fear mongering of this war on US citizens! It's such a shame. Hopefully we as U.S. citizens come together during a time like this unlike our politicians.
ReplyDeleteI feel like most political attacks are strictly for political gain. We see it constantly when candidates attempt to find any small things to argue on. Since politics has become so polarized, it's so rare to see any opposing candidates agreeing on something. However, as far the situation in Gaza, as Kellie stated, Haley does have more knowledge and experience when it comes to speaking on foreign issues. Therefore, in my opinion Vivek should consider becoming more knowledgable of issues before attempting to argue about it.
