Let's Talk About It: Election 2024

 Well the election season is ramping up... Who are the candidates that you think will be leading the charge for the Republican Party and who, if anyone will knock Joe Biden out of the running?  Could the Left pull their support for Joe since his age is becoming a negative factor for his mental acuity to lead the nation? Should we have an age limit for elected officials in Washington?  No matter your feelings for Donald Trump he seems to have his wits about him and can stand the pressures of life. Ever seen Joe out on the golf course? Donald and Joe are only a few months apart in age, politics aside they seem different when they talk. Let's talk about it.

 Since the Thanksgiving holiday is over and everyone is through with Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday shopping are you noticing that your money is not going as far when it comes to gifts for the Holiday season? I have been surprised that some of the prices have not been too terrible but others have been outrageous. Even President Joe Biden is saying that some prices are too high for consumers but does not want to take blame.  What do you think? Who can be blamed for the higher costs this holiday season? Did you know that on November 8th was the third televised debate for the Republicans? Has the debate stage lost its luster because Donald Trump refuses to get on the stage because he is so far ahead in the polls? Axios had viewership for the debate at 7.5 million people, an extremely low number for the future of the Republican party. When can we expect to see Trump on the debate stage? Will it be after the primaries and when its down to the finals between Republican and Democrat?  Let's talk about it.

  There is finally a new Speaker of the House, Congressman Mike Johnson of Louisiana. It took the Republican party 22 days to get the speaker the gavel. What I learned is that there can be no business done during the time of a Speaker vacancy, a lot happened in 22 days and a lot more could have happened.  Perhaps there should be an amendment that there is someone that can run the House in a vacancy until one is voted in.   How are the Republican candidates going to handle the War in Gaza? Already there are clips and quotes from both Haley and Vivek that take shots at one another. Haley says, "half of Gaza residents want to be free from Hamas ‘terrorist rule." Haley - NY Post Vivek says, "If it can happen in Israel, it can happen in America" Vivek - Business Today Why do candidates go after one another on matters like this? This could have been a chance for everyone to come together and be unified, but instead they use it to benefit themselves and put down their opponent. Let's talk about it.

Former Pres. Trump is under a gag order from a New York judge pertaining to a business fraud case he is involved with.  He seems to go off the rails in leaked video from inside the courtroom, saying things like, "This is election interference, and the democrat DAs are doing this because he (Trump) is leading in the polls."
