    Hi Steven! First, I want to say I love how you set this post up. You presented a topic that I assume you plan to post more on in the future and left an open topic of discussion!

    I thought this was quite an interesting headline when I first heard about it in the news. It has always amazed me that people who earn millions of dollars a year are worried about paying taxes. That is something I do not think I will ever understand. I did not come across anything recently talking about the charges being thrown out, just that the plea deal was derailed. So, I am very interested to see future stories on this.

    I wonder what impact this will have on his father's run for reelection. What do you think?

    Yes the story gets hidden and now with the special counsel involved the case might get sealed, but I saw something today that they might subpoena Pres. Biden to testify in front of the House Oversight Committee. It should be interesting if he agrees to do it because Biden would be the 4th ever President to go before congress while in office.

  There is finally a new Speaker of the House, Congressman Mike Johnson of Louisiana. It took the Republican party 22 days to get the speaker the gavel. What I learned is that there can be no business done during the time of a Speaker vacancy, a lot happened in 22 days and a lot more could have happened.  Perhaps there should be an amendment that there is someone that can run the House in a vacancy until one is voted in. Is a Biden impeachment on its way?

CNN is reporting that the White House has sent a letter to news executives urging them to 'ramp up' scrutiny of Republican's Biden impeachment inquiry 'based on lies' What does that even mean?  It seems as though the White House, Democrats, CNN and other news organizations believe that the GOP is on a witch hunt, some is lying and there is no evidence of any high crimes or misdemeanors that President Biden has committed.  Fox News had a similar response when then Pres. Trump was being impeached.  Which leaves the question, has the impeachment process been politicized and will be used by the party in control of the House of Representatives now? Will we see an impeachment every four years if the President is a different party than the majority? This is a slippery slope and Americans should be worried.   Let's talk about it.
